Fort

Fort is more than just a password manager for Windows. Fort protects your digital identity by storing passwords, credit card numbers and notes behind a single password. Everything is encrypted behind one password and everything you type in Fort will stay in Fort.

Include add-ons for storing Application and Game registration codes as well as a search engine for locating specific password/registration/notes.

Response from the site administrator
Niko, 16.05.2012
I did schedule this feature for future version of Fort. Probably not for the next version(will be released in June), but for a later version. Sometime in August/September.

Include the option to store my passwords on a cloud based storage facility as well; this would probably require better encryption than just a master password.

Include a method for unlocking Fort if the master password is locked, for example be able to recover the password via email.

Include a secondary and tertiary layer of password protection that can be disables if you don't want it. This would be especially important if a portable version was created.

Improve the look of the GUI. It looks rther palin and old. Enable users to choose from several skins and include access to a color picker so that users can at least colorize the user interface. :)

Include the ability to scan the registry for registration codes and passwords. These could be stored in a protected database.

add mobile versions

Since people tend to use several different devices, it would be useful to have versions for Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, Android, iPhone, ... and support synchronization between these devices.
Response from the site administrator
Niko, 16.05.2012
This idea is under consideration. It's been for a while. I will most likely develop at least Windows Phone client.

Fort can already generate passwords for you. However, the feature is bit hidden at the moment and will be "more available" in Fort 4.5.

this should be compatible with Windows 7 (it implies that it is but it won't work)

Response from the site administrator
Niko, 16.05.2012
Hmm. It is compatitle with Windows 7. Both 32bit and 64bit. In fact I'm developing it on Windows 7 SP1.

Would be possible for you to send me an email and explain how it does not work? Do you have service pack 1 installed? (It should not be necessary thought)
